LAKEWOOD – 2012 is finally here and the time has finally come to beat Obama. But not only this - now it seems we will need to defend Governor Walker from recall, elect a 2nd Republican to the US Senate, re-elect Congressman Ribble, Senator Cowles, Representatives Nygren, Mursau and Tauchen, and defeat Democratic Senators in the 12th and 30th Senate District.
This is a heavy agenda - but we can do it.
Recent voting record statistics from RPW indicate that Oconto County is 41% Republican, 29% Democrat and 30% Independent. Given these stats, our goal is to provide every Republican Candidate a 58-42% - 16 point margin of victory in Oconto County in the upcoming elections.
To achieve this results, we will need volunteers and effort - so, let’s get started with the 2012 County Party Caucus to be held on Saturday, January 28th at 10:00am at the Gillett Public Library. Please see the CALL TO CAUCUS immediately below and then please join us in Gillett.
We expect to have Walker signs available at the Caucus - so try to attend.
Reminder - that 2012 Party Dues should be paid prior to or at the Caucus. Click here for the 2012 Membership Form or find it under the Membership tab at the top of this page. You can print the form from either place and mail it in.

OFFICIAL CALL TO CAUCUS
REPUBLICAN PARTY OF OCONTO COUNTY
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT THERE IS HEREBY CALLED, a COUNTY CAUCUS pursuant to Article V of the Constitution of the Republican Party of Oconto County, to be held at the Gillett Public Library, 200 East Main Street, Gillett, Wisconsin commencing at 10:00a.m. on Saturday, January 28th, 2012 for the transaction of the following business:
1. To promulgate and adopt Reports of the Treasurer, the Secretary and the Chairman.
2. To elect County Delegates and Alternates to the 2012 8th District Caucus to be held in Seymour, Wisconsin and the 2012 Republican Party of Wisconsin State Convention in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
3. To identify County Party members interested in being considered as 8th Congressional District Delegates to the 2012 national convention of the Republican Party in Tampa Bay, Florida
4. To appoint County Committee Coordinators for Events, Parades, County Fair for 2012.
5. To identify members wishing to serve on future 8th District and/or State Convention Resolutions, Platform, Credentials and Rules Committees.
6. To transact any other business that may be necessary to fulfill the objectives of the Republican Party of Oconto County.
The Caucus is open to all Members of the Republican Party of Oconto County and those wishing to become Members. 2012 Dues can be paid at the Caucus. There is parking behind the Library and coffee, tea and donuts will be served.
